Winter in the Stubai Valley means just one thing… skiing, baby! Glide down the seemingly endless tracks, enjoy an exciting toboggan race with your friends, grab the chance to stay in the ski resort with both hands and gaze in wonder at the beautiful snowy backdrop all around us.
Thanks to the Berghof’s ideal location, the cable cars and lifts are just a stone’s throw away – nothing can stand in the way of a thrilling winter’s day on the pistes!
Let’s get on piste!
Experienced skiers are known to value smaller ski resorts, where they don’t have to share the pistes with quite as many other fellow winter sport enthusiasts. On the “Elferbahnen”, the pistes in our local ski resort, this is exactly what you’ll find. Here, you can access the steepest, most challenging pistes and experience your passion fully… and the Berghof is really close to the lifts! The other three ski resorts in the Stubai Valley – the Stubai Glacier, Schlick 2000 and the Serlesbahnen pistes – are all, of course, also worth a visit.
Get on track
The Nordic sport of Langlauf, or cross-country skiing, is very popular in the Stubai Valley… and is a fantastic way to see the local countryside! Whether you prefer the classic method or to skate, there are 62km of Langlauf tracks that await you, all of which speak for themselves. Just find your favourite route and get on track!
Other winter sports that can be practised in our region are, for example, ice climbing, snowshoe hiking, ice skating, touring and much more.
Ready, set, go!
Zoom down the mountain! There’s no other more thrilling experience for you and your friends here in the Stubai Valley. Our local mountain, the Elfer, has an impressive piste that takes you down into the valley. The Stubai Valley is the largest sledding arena in Tyrol – here, 43km of pistes are just waiting for you! If you don’t have a sled, the cable car stations and most of the Alpine inns where the pistes start will be able to lend you one. For an unforgettable experience, try sledding at night on our floodlit pistes! Available 3x per week.
